The DC area has bright sun today, and temperatures in the mid-50s (F). A perfect day for a ride, excpet for the scattered remaining ice, and the frequent wet spots. Ah! Just how Peter sold the Weigle to me: with fenders. Yes, it's an older Weigle, which Peter built for himself in the early 1980s. So it has that "obsolete" 1" top tube. But very pretty, and works very well, just sortta disappearing as one rides, never calling attention to itself. Nice.
Now, I grew up as a "hard guy," and never considered fenders as desirable gear for a real bike, or a real rider. Thank you, Peter Weigle, for helping me to mature just a bit.
