So, I've bought another project bike that's turning out to be another adventure. I'm assuming my local framebuilders won't have something this old hanging around, although I'll probably check with Peter Mooney sometime this week
I'm looking to buy a fork or parts made from Columbus AIR. My choices would be 1)Ultimate long shot. A fork with the bars as part of the crown like the Nitz bike shown a Nahbs 2)An unbuilt set of blades and crown. 3)A fork from a Serotta 4)A fork from something else.
The condition and length of the steerer is unimportant, as it will have to be replaced anyway.
I also need a couple sections of AIR tubing. Either cutoffs or damaged tubes are fine, the lengths I need would only be around 20- 25 cm each.
The bike is a near twin to the Nitz bike, a bit shorter, and the seatstays are lighter, same tiny needlebearing headset, and original paint/stickers.
