Subject: [CR] GEMINI, Ocana ... CNC?

Last week Norris made a connection between Gemini and Ocana's 1973 Tour -Winning Motobecane, which have a similar pattern of oval cutouts in the he adlugs and holes in the fork crown.

I got all excited and sent out links to some supporting photos I had po sted to WoolJersey and got two surprises: 1) the links broke!  2)George Hollenberg sent a photo of a CNC bike that also had the same pattern of ov als and holes!

I have thus augmented the Zeus1973 folder to include the CNC photo next to the Gemini photos that are next to the Motobecane photos and would be inter ested to know if this pattern is typical of CNC machines.

Since the last link broke I suppose this one will also -- but below is the folder and the photos in question are on the 2nd page:

----+----1----+----2----+----3----+----4----+----5----+----6----+----7----+ ----8----+----9---+ (http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/bc_stockwell_bikestuff/zeus/1973zeus/)

Now, just in case, I'll add that 'round here in Palo Alto we run a breed of hardy individualists, full of the pioneering spirit of the American West , and sometimes when we're backed into a corner by broken links we grab a hold of that ornery broke part and APPEND IT INTO THE BROWSER!  (I re ckon the city slickers on the list will pardon me for gettin' all rustic about it.)
