Thanks to all of you who wanted this. There is just one happy owner. Wish I had duplicates to make you all happy but as you are well aware, "they just don't make em anymore!" This is a gorgeous frame, and I am proud that North Carolina was the home to this builder & his work, albeit a sad ending.

I will keep my eyes open for Silk Hope~McLeans, surely there are more in this region than elsewhere, so stay tuned!

serial number 12097 (finished December 9th, 1977)

Built by McLean Fonvielle (1953 - 1983) in Saxahapaw, North Carolina

One owner, made for Peter Scheffler, pres. of Triad Wheelers BC.

Newly refinished in light silver blue metallic Imron by Franklin Frames, Ohio.

Reynolds 531 throughout,

Prugnat lugs, Gargatte bb shell, Wagner fork crown, Campagnolo long dropouts

63 cm c-to-top seat tube, 57.5 top tube, 43.25 chain stays, 6 cm fork offset,

Estimated 73 degree head angle, 72 degree seat angle.

British thread bbkt, 120 rear spacing, 27.2 seatpost
