I can confirm your assertion. I saw a bike on the stand at the lbs with a set of black DA levers and calipers just yesterday. It also had the DA crankset with the black "fill" and black rings that were drilled but not all the way thru. Rest of the drivetrain was NR.
Make and model of bike was unknown. Supposedly it was a custom build from the early/mid 70's.
