[CR] ALP transition to CLB -when?

Does anyone know when the name change occurred? I think the CLB brand was around in the mid 50's. Was there a change in designs or quality with the name change? was it just a name change or a take-over? (nice bike Mark! -all the bikes on this flickr page are great, the models are pretty amazing too - good work!) I'm thinking of putting an identical brakeset though marked 'CLB Competition' on my 1952 Gillott but I'm unsure of the correctness.
