Subject: [CR] Ideale 59 alloy rail saddle

Recently received this alloy rail Ideale 59:

http://ebay.com/<blah>

I find that while the rails are alloy, the cantle plate is steel. I wonder if this is original or if someone has replaced the original steel rails with alloy. There were several Ideale models for which the steel rails bolted onto the cantle plate as was the case with the alloy Ideales, although the steel rails used on such saddles were round crossection of standard diameter, not the I-beam type of the alloy rails.

It may well be that the bolt layout was the same on these steel saddles with bolt on rails as on the alloy saddles, and if so it would be possible to replace original steels rails on these models with alloy, but that would of course still leave the steel cantle plate in place. Anyone think that's what happened here? Or were there Ideale models sold with alloy rails and steel cantle plae?
