hi jerry ,i took a quick look at the underside of one i have on a merckx . there appears to be a very thin convex washer. does yours have one. i hope someone who knows for sure weighs in cause i don't generally mess around with mine once i finally get them how i want. never had a problem .with the two that i use. ..just wanted to chime in w/something constructive. be good kevin ruberg howel nj usa
