Hi Jerry,

That De Rosa came over with 25 other cartons from Italy in December 2005. Whoever did the lugs on my bike did a nice job. Here is what I know about the bike and the following is from Steven Maasland and the person Steven sourced the bike from:

"The bike comes from the ex-pro Pietro Chiodini. You can see his palmarès By searching here: http://tinyurl.com/msk4a

The bike is most definitely from the 1970's. According to Chiodini it is from 1975 which would also correspond to the equipment that is fitted to th e frame. Cinelli switched to the flying C logo in 1978, Campagnolo also switched front derailleur to the one with the lip, the brakes with the bulbous brake QR and the skewers with the curved QR handle. De Rosa also switched exclusively to braze-on TT cable guides in about 1977. Lastly the diamond stays with the uncommon Brev De Rosa decal all point to mid 70's."
