The Sun CR18 is not a bad choice but it is wide and probably most suitable for 28 - 35mm tires. I like the Sun M13II which is a narrow rim suitable for 23 - 25mm tires. The problem with both is that as far as I know they have discontinued the polished finish. You can still find them but I believe new production is anodized matt silver. Looking at Harris' site right now I see they offer a M13II in 32 and 36 hole polished finish in 27" but nothing in 700C.

The Sun M13II specs are: inside width - 13mm outside width - 19.5mm hooked edges - yes eyeleted - yes double walled - yes material - 6061 alloy weight - 460g

If one is looking for a stand in for a classic looking 32 36 hole silver clincher rim - which one would you choose? Assuming you remove the label - which one wouldn't look out of place? Sun CR18? others?
