FWIW, I have a late 80's Palo Alto, a newer Cinelli SC, a 1985 Eddy Merckx, and a 1980 Mondia Super.
The Palo Alto is easily my favorite ride of the bunch.

I picked up a BMZ frameset at Trexlertown last spring and recently took it
out for for the first time at Steve Maasland's NJ ride a few weeks ago.
Extremely nice ride, especially in the windy weather we had.
