Re: [CR] Squeaky tubular--remount?

(Example: Production Builders:Frejus)

Robert,

Several weeks ago I had a pair of Panaracer Practice Dual tires start squeaking on me after only about 100 miles of riding. Turns out the base tape is coming loose on both of these tires. It only made noise above 15 MPH.

I bought them about a year ago, 1 local and 1 mail order so they're from 2 different batches. I contacted Panaracer and they're going to replace the

tires.

I suggest that you deflate the tire and check all around to see if the bas e tape may be coming loose. You can also check how well the tire is glued to

the rim while you're at it.
