Many 60's/ early 70's fillet brazed Schwinns, i.e. Superior, Sports Tourer, Super Sport use bars that are marked "Made in England", or perhaps "Englis h Made", or maybe "British Made". Often the markings are at the end of the bars, and so are normally covered by the bar tape. I've always heard thes e were made by GB, but I'd have to look at them again to see if there is ac tualy a GB marking. These bars may have been used lower in the line as wel l on Continentals and Varsities, don't know.

My Paramounts all have Cinelli bars, but the oldest is 1970, so earlier Par amounts could have had English bars, GB or otherwise. One interesting deta il on my 1962 Superior is that the stem appears to be a rebadged Belgian-ma de Titan, but the head for the expander bolt is Whitworth. I was not aware Whitworth standard was ever used on the Continent, so I don't know what to make of this.
