Subject: [CR] Foot Pump Hoses Needed

I've been using the same Schwinn Approved (Made in Japan) foot pump since 1974. It's the one with a resevoir and guage (similar to Meidai's at http://os2.dhs.org/~john/meidai.jpg) Its always worked, without fail, although I've had to replace the hose or the clamp every few years.

The hose inevitably fails at the joint with the (tire side) pump head. That's where it gets twisted the most.

Since Schwinn went bankrupt its been harder and harder to find a replacement hose. So I cut away the crack at the end of the hose and reassemble the pump head. If I keep doing this, my hose will eventually shrink to a useless length.

The pump side fitting is an odd thread. Anybody know where I can find a replacement?

Anybody know what standard, highly flexible, hose to use in its place? (I can hose clamp new hose onto the existing fittings).

I also got a very old foot operated pump (with a huge bronze cyclinder) from an old bike shop. No hose is attached so I'll need to jury-rig something.
