Gios was definitely using the short dropouts by 1977. (see attached) Gios may have used the long drop outs a little longer than the other builders, perhaps up to about '76. It looks like '76 bikes had top tube cable guides. (see attached) So, this frame is 75 or earlier. I have not seen a Gios frame with a chrome rear triangle, and this makes the frame you purchased very interesting.
