I got a nice deal from a very kind fellow who sold me a near complete Specialissima at very good price when he could have sold it for more but kept his word!! I sweetened the deal for him because he had such incredible integrity. This frees up a mid 60's root beer brown frame, fork (that was a little too big for me), with integrated headset (of course). I believe the price is pretty good (but admittedly not as good a deal as I got!!!),..., 350$ plus shipping. Really, where are you going to get a 60's Specialissima frame for this price? Details: 23 inch cc. ORIGINAL Root beer brown paint, 5/10, but will make a GREAT rider, especially for those list members that have a bone pile of parts to complete the biked. The paint is good enough that I personally would never repaint it (my standards are about like Jay VDV) . Decals and chrome are fair (chrome is actually not too bad and better than the one I picked up). Warts: the frame was involved in a bike vs immovable object confrontation and the bike lost,... but not horribly. The down tube was minimally distorted and has been straightened to near perfection by one of the CR list's most respected frame builders!! I will send pictures to those interested (on Saturday).
