I would appreciate some advice about long reach brakes. I wish to put 700c wheels on my early 70s Sears/Puch. I have equipped the rest of the bike with Japanese components. I am not averse to Eurpoean brakes or out-of-era brakes, but I would appreciate like som esuggestions. I have a pair of Universal Extras, that may be appropriate time wise but not in keeping with the rest of the build. I might use dia-compe/Weinmann style if necessary. I have no dislike for the cenerpulls. I would like something less common, perhaps Gran Compe centerpulls, the most beautiful center pulls in my opinion. If I had painted the frame myself instead of using powdercoat, the very lovely Mafac cantilevers would be my choice.
what to do, what to do, maybe even Universal centerpulls or slightly newew Universal 77s. I would prefer Japanese but have also considered Tektro long reach side pulls.
