There is an article in today's Wall Street Journal (page D7) about Jacques Tati, whose name has been mentioned in this list. The article has to do with an exhibition at a Paris museum concerning Tati's work. There is a photo in the article from one of the films, of the main character riding a bicycle. Perhaps someone may hazard a comment on the bike. The film "Jour de Fete" in particular is of interest because of all the cycling gags worked into it. I tried to watch it on YouTube, but not being able to understand the French dialog took a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me.
