http://tinyurl.com/o5pp9k Here's a contempory image of Moreno on one of several road bikes made for him by De Rosa while he was on Team Sammontana. Since he's sporting the Championship of Italy jersey, one can safely assume that this was taken in the period during or after 1983. He sometimes used black anodized stems and aslo chromed stems. His seatpost was pantographed "Argentin". He most always favored a white turbo saddle. He was among the last riders to abandon toe clips and used Binda straps-he always used pista pedals on the road. Notice that there is no chrome anywhere on the rear triangle-just the fork. Moreno's frame size is well known : 54cm C-C (See Negri "Quando la Bici e Arte" for a frame build diagram) I challenge anyone to provide a contemporary image of Moreno on a Team Sammontana track bike. According to the data i have,in the words of Moreno Argentin himself,he used to race bikes in size 53 or 53.5 ctc.Yes,he favored a white turbo saddle, just like the one mounted on one of the bikes i have, and this specific fact, was confirmed by Mr.Gradi himself when i showed the bikes. He said ,yes it could totally be,as Moreno's used to use such saddles. When i showed Ugo the bikes,he told me that these were Moreno's bike.and he measured them personally, see pix on my flickr account that show that. Also, the person i got them from,is an ex-professional turned manager for several teams and pros, and,is a matter of fact,he's the guy that launched Morenos Argentin career.A list member ,through a friend of his,had the chance to get some infos from Argentin,as this friend used to go to school with him.He says that he didnt keep any bike, and other bikes ,that do no t come from the de rosa team or de rosa factory, have to be considered of dubious provenance. He also said that if there is a n honest person that can be trusted for what he said, this would be the man i got the bikes from. Also,in Morenos' words,he said that ther eused to be 2-3 bikes floating around( i have two)Ihope to get the las tpart of infos i need soon,as,seemingly,Mr.Cristiano De ROsa is stilla round for some post Grio business.

Cheers
