I am fortunate enough to be able to attend Cirque each year to re-kindle the old bike flame in me. This years was great. I enjoy the process of preparing bikes for Cirque as well as the inevitable projects that precipitate out of it. The fact that my wife Rita enjoys it as much as I do really makes going a no-brainer. We both have made so many friends at Cirques throughout the years and it is fun to hang out with them and talk about how our lives are progressing (as well as how our bike collections are ballooning). The rides are always a blast and I am relieved when our bikes don't have "mechanicals". Been there, done that.
I enjoyed Peter Weigle's talk on restoration philosophies and picked up a Frejus frame at the swap in need of a "vision". I'm working on it and that makes me happy.
