The same seller has a Schwinn Super Sport currently on eBay. It's not a bike I'm in the market for, but the condition is exceptional. It appears all original except for the tires & seat. Vinyl handlebar tape still in place! This guy must have a knack for finding run-of-the-mill 70's bikes in unusually great shape.

As Dale points out, it's often about nostalgia. And I bet it's not too easy to find a bright orange (good color) Super Sport in this condition. Like the Peugeot, it may also sell for good money if the right person with the right memories is looking on eBay this week.
