Listers (and those who are perfectly upright):
Looking for a set of very good wheels or better for my upcoming '37 Drysdale Velox track bike restoration. Pulling pieces together before pulling the trigger. I do have new Ghisallos as an option, but was encouraged by some off-line discussion to first seek original equipment, including proper wing nuts. I do not know which wings would have been correct for this builder/era. The current axles are, from what I understand, era typical at 7.85mm diameter and 26 tpi, but a change there might still be made if that spec is problematic for the wing nuts. The rear is pretty thread banged on one side and a replacement is possible/anticipated.
The wheels could be bare (preferred) or already built, if the project can nicely work (ss or flip-flop) with what is supplied or I swap them out and use the original hubs.
Thanks for reading, searching and/or any comments back. Sorry for the length.
