Subject: [CR] FOR SALE - Rare Swiss Condor City Bike

Offered for sale to CR list members only,,,,,,,

As seen at the 2009 Cirque,,,,,

A rare Swiss Condor City Bike - estimated age is early 1960s - Reynolds "531" Double-Butted frame built with Nervex Pro Lugs (thin pencil seatstays!)  - Campagnolo Gran Sport Derailleurs with "Open C" downtube shift levers - undated Brooks Professional small rivet saddle - Campagnolo Record two-bolt seatpost - Weinmann Vainqueur "single spring" centerpull brakes - non-original wheelset (Campagnolo Tipo large flange hubs with Fiamme 27" clincher rims) - braze-on chainguard mounts, seatstay security wheel lock, left fork blade lamp/generator mount - non-original Bluemel fenders - German "BF" stem (GB copy) with flat alloy city bars.

Price is $795.00 plus shipping.

I am willing to reduce the price by $75.00 if you do not want the wheels and fenders (suspect it originally had Campagnolo Gran Sport hubs and Weinmann rims).

A similar racing Condor may be viewed in the excellent "Speedbicycles" collection:

I have a few photos posted on Wool Jersey, but that site is currently down, so please see these two photos taken by Dale Brown at the 2009 Cirque in the Best Western's "Hall of Fame":

I rode this bike the first two days of Cirque, and it was truly a wonderful riding machine!  If you don't believe me, then ask for a second opinion from Dan Artley (we swapped machines for a short time on the Friday morning ride).

Please contact me offlist if you are interested, have questions, or would like additional photos.
