I've got 27 x 1 1/4 (32mm) Continental Gatorskin tires on our old Santana tandem, as well as the 700x28 version on something else. They are available, nice tires, plenty fat with a decent ride compared to most kevlar-belted. They are not gumwalls but rather have "Conti brown" sides.
