I've used Simplex Retrofriction brazon shift levers, which are made for standard Campy brazeon bosses, on the clamps from the cheap plastic Simplex Prestige shifters like found on a UO-8. The more expensive Simplex clamps don't work but the Prestige clamps do. The Prestige clamps are actually pretty nice, although the levers themselves are crap.

Not sure about the thread on the fixing bolts though. I'll try a Campy fixing bolt on a Prestige clamp this evening and let you know if it works.

\r?\n> Louis,

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Good luck on finding such a beast. There are some

\r?\n> Campagnolo clamp on shifters where one could remove the

\r?\n> shift levers and the remaining bosses are the same format as

\r?\n> braze-on shifter bosses. But not all Campagnolo clamp-on

\r?\n> shifters are this way. So be careful if you go this route.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> I know of no other readily available clamp-ons such as

\r?\n> this. I spent quite a while looking for just this thing a

\r?\n> while ago and ended up buying an NOS Huret downtube clamp-on

\r?\n> shifter bosses which look like they would do the same thing.

\r?\n> I think the threading on the hole was slightly different

\r?\n> than standard, so I tapped the hole and it worked. Not as

\r?\n> elegant as the Campagnolo would have been, but it works.

\r?\n> n'est-ce pas?  I do not want to switch out the special

\r?\n> fixing screws.

\r?\n> bosses, where the bosses are the same as braze-on

\r?\n> bosses?  That is, the bosses have the standard square

\r?\n> bases and round shafts with normal threads?  I have

\r?\n> several clamp-on shifters, but the clamps are all unique to

\r?\n> the shifters.
