Subject: [CR] hub adjustment question

I am attempting to repack an Airlite flip-flop track hub. The problem I am having, using the ball bearings that were in the hub, is that I cannot lock down the locknut because the flat on the adjustable cones are too far into the hub for me to use a wrench to hold the flats. I have attempted to find the size and number of ball bearings used for Arilite hi-flange hubs, but I cannot find any reference nor can I find it in the fourth edition of Sutherlands. If someone knows, could the person please tell me? Alternatively, if I went one size larger for the ball bearings, and one ball bearing less, that might give me enough room to fit a wrench onto the flats without doing any damage?. Or does some know a makeshift tool for holding the flats?

Thank you.

Cheers.
