Hello All,

My question is, is it possible to take your vintage Campy clamp-on shifters to drill out the retaining rivets and utilize the shifter "stops"?  The stops would be used in the case of say, one wouldn't have any access to specifically braze-on Campy shifters, but, as in my case, plenty of Campy clamp-on types readily available. Would the same work for interchanging Simplex refriction-type shifters, clamp-on modified to braze-on, then interchange w/Campy.  How about Zeus, Huret, etc.  Any experimenters out there that have done it, been there?

Thanks,
