Hello John and Happy 4th of July,

Do not repaint if the bike is in it's original state and not too ugly. I am a 35+ year veteran of antique auto restoration. If the car or bike is needing restoring, then do so. If you have a pile of junk like several of mine are, then they need repainting. Some are in original condition and have original decals and need paint. I have a friend who has 60 feet of old iron fence from the UK that was imported into this country at the turn of the century and I asked him if sandblasting and painting was in order and he about hit me, so take it how you want it. I am sure glad we all don't like yellow!
