Subject: [CR] Help with frame i.d.

Hi all,

I came across a track frame that has had the fixed gear townie treatment, so there are no decals, badges etc, and it's been sprayed flat black. But I am hoping that these clues will jog some memories and point me the right direction as to what it might be.

It is steel, lugged, with long point lugs and the lugs have ridges along the long point center from the tip to the junction. I don't know if these are reinforcements or decorations, but they are on the head and seat lugs. Fork crown is flat, not completely horizontal but close, and the fork dropouts are external plug type. Rear dropouts are nice looking, but thicker and beefier than Campy style. Seat post is 27.2 and bb is English. No brake drilling front or rear. In the bottom of the bb shell are three parallel diagonal slits about an inch long, and the serial number M8020575.

Any of that ring a bell with any folks here? Apologies to Dale and all if it's off topic, but the long lugs make me think there's a good chance it's on. I don't have a photo hosting site, but I can send pics to any curious head scratchers.

Thanks for any hints!
