I am in possession of an A-D (sn: 5617210) that was reportedly purchased in Europe sometime in the early to mid 1970's. It is an SL with Shimano 600 gruppo and weinmann wheels (tubular) and brakes (610). I has SR crank and stem, randonneur bars and a brown Brooks Reofessional saddle.
The question is of color. Nowhere is one pictured or listed as having chrome fork ends or dropouts as this one does, nor silver paint. I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this for me. I'm riding it now, but would like to refresh/upgrade it if it seems worthwhile.
