I am going to try an upgrade to my old five speed.

I want to put a Phil 108mm bottom bracket with swiss rings. And a TA Pro 5 Vis 46T single crankset.

I have all the parts. My TA ref.25 bolts and nuts for the crankset arrived (sealed bag) and there are no washers.

In connecting a 46T single to my TA cranks is there supposed to be washers? At the blackbird TA site, it shows the exact same ref.25 bag o'stuff, five bolts, five nuts, AND five washers.

Are washers required/important for these five crank to chainring nuts and bolts?
