Subject: [CR] Steel Is Real in Milwaukee/Sturmey hybrid Jack Taylor

Hey Robb,

Thanks for the plug for Steel Is Real Milwaukee. I want to invite all steel bike enthusiasts to our first event. The phone 3 on the Facebook page is not functioning right now, so people should email if they have questions. Any other promotion suggestions are welcome.

I want to add my Jack Taylor to the CR site, both in the registry and I'm sure I at one time saw a Sturmey-Archer/derailleur hybrids page with a number of interesting examples. If anyone can guide me on this I'd appreciate it.

\r?\n> Description

\r?\n>

\r?\n> 25-mile bike tour for steel frame bicycles only. Start/finish is at Cafe Hollander, a great cycling-theme tavern/restaurant with terrific food and Belgian beer selection, on Downer Avenue in Milwaukee.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> What's it all about? Steel is real. We'll be celebrating the elegance of steel frame bicycles by riding the streets and bike trails of Milwaukee while making stops at unique taverns along the way. Fun on bikes in a fun-ky city.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Any steel frame one-on-one, vintage road, off-road or contemporary bike is welcome. We'll have a magnet on a string at registration and, if the magnet don't swing the fat lady sings.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Every rider will get a long-sleeve T-shirt with the Steel Is Real lady & greyhound logo and other swag. We'll have games and contests like the "I should have taken 'er to Ziebart" best rust bucket bike (must be ridden on the ride). Check back for more fun stuff as things gel.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> The start will be 10 am with registration open at 8:30 (breakfast available on own at Cafe Hollander). With all the fun it will likely be an all day event. Email for a PDF entry form or answers to questions.
