Sounds like an A-D "Ultima" - their Super Record-equipped top-of-the line bike that (according to their catalogue) was assembled in an exclusive section of the A-D factory and shipped in a special foam-lined case.

Hi guys, a friend has found a purple A-D with chrome lugs, sew-ups and campy groupo in the dump! i have not seen the thing yet myself, but was wondering if any of you care to venture a guess as to the model just based on that bit of info? he is talking (foolishly, imho) of single speed conversion and i would love to talk him out of it. i have a hunch it is worth more just cleaned up. who has amo for me? devon warner san francisco, USA
