I found a race photo and a poster through googling. The poster shows a motorcycle and a bicycle; the photo shows two riders on motorcycles (no bikes). Could this have been a two part race: one on bikes and one on motorcycles?

"ciclomotoristico delle Nazioni" was formerly known as Roma-Napoli-Roma (until 1950). Ran off-and-on from 1902 through 1962. I had a picture of Robic on Pic of the Day/wooljersey. Can't remember what year... probably 1950. I'll look for it again when I get a chance.
