Hello Rob,

Try this technique as a last resort. I've had to deal with a stuck adjustable cup twice. Once with a Cinelli SC and a Jack Taylor Triplet. After soaking the offending cup with my favorite solution and breaking pins of my pin spanners- I resorted to the use of Dads old massive pipe wrench!

With just enough threads showing, I carefully placed the jaws of the pipe wrench on the cup and applied firm yet gentle downward pressure. With the weight and leverage of the pipe wrench, I was able to break both of the cups free. Finish the job with a pin tool. With careful filing of the damaged threads, the cup can be saved.

Seems no LBS has tools to deal with internal cup/cone BB anymore.

Anyway I have a frame with a stuck Adjustable cup. Aluminum frame and chrome cup.

So does anyone know where I can get a VAR adjustable pin spanner and/or a Stein fixed-cup wrench clamp.

Cheap is appreciated.

Any/all home grown techniques welcomed.

I think if all else fails I can machine something similar to the Stein.
