This ride is planned for Sunday, 27 September. My 7th annual DC area Autumnal Vintage bike ride. Sunday this year to permit those that need to work on Saturday.
No theme this year. Most anything with 1, 2, or 3 wheels made out of steel will be acceptable....
The route will use Beach Drive mostly, heading first down into DC. The route is very fixed-gear friendly. I will be riding fixed gear of course. There will be one or two moderate hills to give us a chance to get off the saddle.
Non-riders, spouses, etc, welcome, of course. (My spousal unit will likely not be riding) We will assemble circa 10 am with an aim to begin riding at about 10:30.
Earlier arrival is most acceptable. Food, beverages served afterwards.
Please let me know if you plan to attend so I can be sure to have sufficient food, etc available. If you prefer vegetarian fare, please advise. At a minimum, we will serve Pizza and Brats. Along with beer and soda. Food and/or beverage donations most welcome.
I will send directions when you let me know you plan to attend. But we are located just north of DC, close to the Connecticut Avenue exit off the beltway, I-495.
