Subject: [CR] Campy NR NOS pulley wheels, was Finishing touches to a 1982 Rossi

I can't imagine undertaking Michael Hudson's quest for all NOS parts for anything - although Richard Sachs did it for a pair of Masis, and I'm sure others have, too.

But, one alternative, at least for now, might be to broaden the search to include much higher quality after-market pulleys, such as Bulls-eye and Suntour, built around sealed cartridge bearings. I have never regarded the NR splitomatic pulleys as Campagnolo's finest design category, eh?

I would not regard outfitting with better stuff that the selling shop might have upgraded to as apostasy, but I can certainly respect those who take a narrower view of "NOS" and "100% year correct."

harvey sachs mcLean va. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have almost completely restored to original a 1982 Rossi road bike. I have been able to restore the bike using 100% year correct, new in box parts and with that standard it has taken me over 4 years with the payoff being a like new bike. Some parts were almost impossible to find such as a NOS Sedis gold chain - very difficult to find new in the original box. As difficult as the search has been I have been unable to find NOS pulley wheels for Campagnolo Nuovo Record. Does anyone know where to look?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Best regards,

Michael Hudson
