There is another way to solve this two browser problem quite elegantly. The Firefox extension "IE Tab" allows you to switch, within Firefox, between the Firefox or IE rendering engine. If you are looking at an eBay picture you want to save in Firefox, you simple click the "IE Tab" icon, and the same page is opened by IE in Firefox. Then, Kurt's method for saving the picture will work. This is also good for other pages that don't seem to work right in Firefox.
Of course, you still have to have IE installed (you just don't have to use it).
