Nice colnago here...definitely old enough to have had the playing-card graphics. This would make a nice period restoration project, you figure 600 bucks for paint, maybe 300 for chrome, and a few period parts and you're good to go..if one bought the bike for under 1500, the final cost to make it totally period correct would not be unreasonable. Especially now that the playing card graphics are available once again.

or you could just get the crown chromed, repaint the fork to match the rest of the frame now, remove all the graphics and re-decorate and clear it..I dunno if that would be any cheaper in the end than just repainting--I'd repaint some cool period colnago color like that candy violet or salmon metallic. Or, molteni orange is always a fine choice.. <g>

Better buy it before Baylis does.. he can restore it for himself wholesale <g>

anyone notice that Pantografata that went for over 4K? That was a sweet bike. I wonder if it went to China. I've noticed well-heeled chinese bidders, mainly from Hong-Kong and Taiwan, are beginning to show some interest in CR vintage bikes...uh oh.
