spotted this error when reviewing the photos:

I recently acquired this bike.

Had never heard of the make before. Since it was kitted out in all European gear (Sachs/Huret + Modolo) before even a cursory examination of the frame, I started searching in Europe. the Sachs/Huret components pointed me especially to France.

only when hosing the dust down off the frame did I notice the "Made in Canada" sticker. Who knew? 753 tubing and columbus (Ed. Not Columbus but Vitus.) dropouts suggests a well made beast. what does the SUper Vitus on the bottom bracket refer to? Is the BB typically a bit that, like dropouts, that were not made by the tube manufacturer? in this case Reynolds?

The ONLY reference I could find to this make was on a Canadian car forum where a fellow had posted a picture of his early 80s Julian Edwins track bike and mentioned that it was made in Owen Sound ON.

There appears to be a J Edwins living in nearby Hanover ON. and I will give that person a call and hope to follow up.

But in the meanwhile, does anyone know anything about this maker? (and does Classic Rendezvous not want to include Edwins under their Canada category. and how about Mike Mulhollands Cyclops while we are at it.)
