To vintage enthusiasts in Northern California, Phil Segura who I presume had success with the bike show at the Cow Palace in San Francisco last November, is in the planning stages for this year. Attached are his ideas for a vintage exhibit this year in conjunction with the rest of Bike Expo. Those of us who exhibited bikes there last year had a good time as well as a show of enthusiasm from those that attended the show. Evidently, there were concerns of security as expressed by Bob Freitas, but then that is something that can be addressed. There isn't the problem described by one Lister of "having to rob a 7-11 to ship a bike to the Cirque". I certainly would like to see something out here on the West Coast and this seems like a good opportunity to start something but......... there has to be interest and people that can help. I have never been to Cirque and and have not run a concourse. If there are Listers that are interested and would like to help get this off the ground, please contact me or Phil Segura. The excitement that was shown last year by all who came by to look and chat tells me it could be a huge success. Maybe I'm wrong, but having vintage bikes hanging in my garage with custom made covers is boring.
