Hi Dale: My folks came from Vienna, Austria, the same place as this bike. We owned business property in Vienna until a few years ago. The Sporthaus RIH, run by Franz Hamedl, a well known pro-rider, was , once upon a time, THE pro-shop in the entire country and very important in all German-speaking countries. I was in his shop, located in the Leopoldstadt area of Vienna, on Praterstrasse (the famous Viennese fair area) which was once a very important street, many times-as recently as two years ago. He was once the Austrian importer of Campagnolo, and sold many very high end Italian bikes, frequently, putting his own label on them. The shop is now somewhat a shadow of its former self and not very high end. There are quite a few RIH bikes around, and, if you go on to Photobucket, you can see a very nice RIH "Super" Pista bike. I'm not sure if it's restored, but it's in very fine condition-in white too. George (my nickname in Viennese slang is "Schurl"-that's what my mom used to call me. George Hollenberg MD
