Tom,

The more ornate Capella lugs are found on 1973 Internationals and Competitions. They should have a serial number beginning with "H", although some 1973's also have serial numbers beginning with "A". I'm not certain if all 1973 Internationals had these lugs. I believe some may have had Nervex lugs also. I think I remember a post from Mike Mullet saying that Raleigh was using up old Carlton stock. It seems Capella lugs were much more seen on Carltons. BTW, some people refer to them as mosquito lugs. They do sort of look like mosquito stingers. I've always thought them prettier, for what it's worth.
