Oddly enough, having looked through all the editions going back to the first. I find the 6th anniversary edition to be the most helpful. While the "official" date on this is 1970 to present, there is info compiled all the way back to the first. Including a great section on British cottered bottom brackets. It's actually quite easy to find in PDF format if you do a google search or too. However, if anyone needs help sourcing it, please shoot me a line off list.
