When you get to SF, try and get out to American Cyclery at the corner of Stanyan and Frederick Streets at the eastern end of Golden Gate Park. If you're taking public transportation from downtown take the Muni Metro "N" car. It's a great old shop founded in the 40's by 6 day racer. Oscar Juner. They've got some fine old machinery hanging from the ceiling.
