Friends: An early announcement for y'all's calendars: I am putting together a Dallas Area Vintage And Exotic Bike Show And Ride on April 11.
The tentative plan is for folk to arrive noon-ish for food, fellowship and to enjoy the various toys we bring, and around 2-ish we set off for a ride (hopefully a couple of different routes depending on strengths and interest ).
Location to be the Fair Park area of Dallas, thanks to my friend Randy Murp hy who is providing the space for the event. Show is going to be inside, so if the weather is foul, the show can still go on. He has a HUGE space, so unless atendance is really big, folk can bring multiple toys if ya want. We will need RSVP's so we can plan for food, space and parking. I will send p ut a call for RSVPs closer to the day, but you can sign up now if ya want! If you do RSVP early, kindly tell me what bike(s) you plan to bring. No poi nts lost for changing your mind, I just need an idea of how much space to p lan for.
My favorite local Frame Craftsman David Cheakas (Southwest Frameworks) enco uraged me to come up with a name. The acronym "Davaebshar" can be a good working name until something more cl ever comes up.
David has recently finished a VERY nice repair and touchup (major touchup) of a KOF Edco equipped Helios that was damaged in shipping. I plan to bring that and something officially on topic to the event.
