Thanks Andy,

I remember Rob being a very nice guy, and a real strong rider. It would be interesting to know what he's doing these days.

One time I ran into him while we were both warming up for a time trial at Bear Mountain. He was riding a Serrotta funny bike that he had built. I don't remember why but he had a problem fitting the thing with a front derailleur. Bear Mountain is a super hilly course so there is no way you could do a time trial there without using both chainrings. Rob's solution was to shift the thing with his finger. I thought he was out of his mind until he gave me a demonstration of how easy it was. Shows what I know!

Regards, Jamie
