Last time I checked, you couldn't just walk onto the track anymore... there are open riding times, but there are strict limits as to who, when, and what equipment you can ride. Often I've found the track closed, and the gates are locked.
I've email track manager Linda Fink to ask about open track time during NAHBS weekend.
