I've been wondering when the use of top tube cable clips came along. Most of what I see in the oldest pics are either braze-on stops or tape used to secure brake cable housing.
I'm most curious about immediately after the war: 1945 through 1950-ish.
Anyone seen evidence of cable clips prior ot the mid-50's? When did Universal and REG produce the first clamps? Campagnolo shows them in the first Campy catalog I have, #12 which is approx. 1953.
