Oops. Mark, you are so correct and that is what I meant to point out, the way the bulge out right after they leave the bbkt sockets....

The only investment casting is in the fork crown. Hand cut hearts (not stamped.) Note the bulged SP chain stays too... IMO definitely mid 70s, I a gree Chas.?
